Grossglockner High Alpine Road
The queen of the pass roads is one of the most beautiful and famous panoramic roads in Europe. From here, you can reach high altitudes, more precisely over 2,500 meters and right through the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. On the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Höhe at 2,369 meters you have a unique view of the Großglockner (3,798 m) and the surrounding three thousand meter peaks. Provided that the weather is fine, magnificent views are guaranteed during the ride as well as at the finish after more than 48 kilometers and 36 hairpin bends.
Salzachtal
The idyllic Salzach Valley lies directly in the Hohe Tauern National Park. From here you have an impressive view of the Venediger Group as well as of the highest mountain in the group, the Großvenediger (3,657 m). From the northern edge of the national park you have a clear view of the magnificent mountain scenery of the Northern Alps. Another eye-catcher is the fairytale Mittersill Castle, which towers above the Salzach Valley.
